25.07.11 — Optional Convenience Fees for Stripe Payments

Configurable Convenience Fee for Online Payments

Teachers using Stripe for online payments can now optionally suggest a convenience fee during checkout.

How It Works

• Configure the fee from Payment Methods in Settings or via the Income widget.
• Choose a percentage, a flat amount, or a combination (for example, a small flat fee plus a percentage of the payment).
• At checkout, students see a clearly labeled, optional checkbox to add the convenience fee to their payment.

For compliance reasons, this fee must remain optional, but you have full control over the suggested amount and how it is displayed.
