25.03.25 — Major Practice, Notation, and Communication Updates

March 25, 2025

Rebuilt Music Notation Editor

The music notation editor has been completely redesigned into a more visual, interactive tool:

  • Use a toolbar to add notes, rests, and common symbols.
  • Click directly on the score to adjust passages.
  • Quickly create short exercises, examples, and custom arrangements.

You can insert saved notation directly into assignments, building a reusable library of compositional snippets for your studio.

Enhanced Practice Timer (Pro!)

The practice timer now supports daily practice goals:

  • Add and edit specific practice goals for a session.
  • Continue to log total practice time automatically to the Practice Log.

This helps students plan more focused practice and reflect more clearly on what they worked on.

Tuner Enhancements (Pro!)

The tuner now includes a drone pitch option:

  • Choose a pitch and play it as a sustained reference tone.
  • Adjust octaves to match your instrument and range.

This makes it easier to work on intonation in scales, arpeggios, and long-tone practice.

Easier Help and Feedback

We’ve added a Support & Feedback widget available from within the portal:

  • Request help
  • Report bugs
  • Suggest new features

You can optionally include a one-click screenshot to show exactly what you’re seeing, which speeds up support.

Student Alerts and Notifications

Students now receive in-app alerts for:

  • New announcements
  • New surveys
  • New documents and important updates

Unread items gently persist until they’re opened, helping students and families stay informed.

Financial and Group Improvements

  • Added search and filters to transaction history, including the ability to toggle whether removed students appear.
  • Groups now more consistently carry lesson length information for easier scheduling and billing.
