24.04.26 — Teaching Availability Windows and New Lesson Booking Flow

Teaching Availability Windows

We’ve introduced Teaching Availability Windows to give teachers more flexible, powerful control over their schedules.

For Teachers

• Create availability windows directly on the calendar by clicking or dragging.
• Choose start and end times, and decide whether a window is open to all students or just specific individuals.
• Adjust or delete windows at any time by dragging or editing them.
• Configure how lesson start times are offered (on the hour, half-hour, or every 15 minutes).

These tools make it much easier to manage makeup lessons, reschedule groups of students, and plan seasonal calendars such as summer schedules.

New Student Lesson Booking Flow

The lesson booking experience has been updated to work hand-in-hand with availability windows.

For Students

• Instead of scheduling from individual calendar events, students now use the Book a Lesson button on their calendar page.
• Available teaching windows appear as selectable dates and times in the booking dialog.
• Students choose a date with an available window and then pick a time slot that works for them.

This new flow keeps scheduling organized, predictable, and aligned with the teacher’s availability settings.
